This Privacy Policy explains what information PokéSurvivor Fan Hub (the “Site”, “we”, “us”) handles when you visit this website and play the game through it.

Who we are

PokéSurvivor Fan Hub is an unofficial fan website with guides, a Pokédex, a type chart and a tier-list maker. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Nintendo, Game Freak, The Pokémon Company or the developers of PokéSurvivor.

The game is not hosted here

The game shown on the Play page is provided by its own developers at pokesurvivor.com and is loaded inside a frame. That game is governed by its developers’ own terms and privacy practices. This policy covers only this Site.

Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address or payment details.

Like any web host, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) receives standard technical data when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. We use this data to keep the Site running and secure. We do not use it to build profiles of individual visitors.

Images of Pokémon are loaded from the public PokeAPI sprite repository on GitHub. Your browser contacts GitHub to fetch those images, so GitHub may receive your IP address as it would for any image load.

Information stored in your browser

Some features save data locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device:

  • Your light or dark theme preference.
  • Your tier-list board, so it is still there when you return.

You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.

Online co-op and your IP address

The game’s co-op mode connects players directly to each other, peer-to-peer, like a video call. To make that connection, the other players in your session can see your IP address. Only join sessions with people you trust. We cannot control what other players do with that information.

Analytics and advertising

This Site does not run advertising and does not use cross-site tracking.

We use Google Analytics (Google LLC) to understand how visitors use the Site, for example which pages are read and how people arrive from search. It records page views, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type, and referring page. Google processes this data under its own Privacy Policy. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not link it to any account.

The Site may also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views in aggregate. It does not set cookies.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets its own cookies in your browser, such as _ga and _ga_*, to tell visits apart. These cookies store an anonymous identifier and expire after a period set by Google. Your browser may also store the local data described above, and the embedded game at pokesurvivor.com may set its own cookies under its own policy.

Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

The Site links to third-party websites, including the official game and GitHub. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please read their policies before using them.

Data retention

We do not keep a database of visitor information. Server logs kept by our hosting provider are governed by that provider’s retention policy.

Your choices

You can block cookies and clear local storage in your browser, and you can disable JavaScript, although the game and tier-list maker will not work without it. To stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Contact us to ask questions about this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
